چکیده
This paper describes an investigation of the source geospatial error in digital surface models (DSMs) constructed from multiple satellite images. In this study uncertainty geometry is separated into two spatial components; global that affects absolute position surface, and local varies point to point. The component caused by inaccuracy imaging process, mainly due orientation (pose) during image collection. A key result a new algorithm for determining geoposition DSM takes account pose covariance each information used weigh evidence computation DSM. use significantly decreases overall position. also approach prediction surface. observed variance within single stereo reconstruction defines horizontal error. fused set elevations pairs at location vertical These accuracy predictions are compared ground truth provided LiDAR scans same geographic region interest.

متن کاملMulti-scale GIS based Satellite Image Mapping
Remotely sensed imagery has an enhanced capability of extracting information about small image structures (both artificial and natural objects). Fast, low cost, accurate and spatially rich data can be acquired via remote sensing technology. For this reason, satellite image mapping is quite common technique and image maps provide a great contribution to cartography and Geographic Information Sys...
متن کاملClassification of multi-spectral satellite image data
This paper describes a novel classification technique—NRBF (Normalized Radial Basis Function) neural network classifier based on spectral clustering methods. The spectral method is used in the unsupervised learning part of the NRBF neural networks. Compared with other general clustering methods used in NRBF neural networks, such as KMeans, the spectral method can avoid the local minima problem ...
متن کاملSatellite image pansharpening by chrominance propagation combined with kernel interpolation
This paper describes a method for propagation-based spacial interpolation of missing color information on satellite images. Most of the land-observation satellites produce two types of imagery for every scene multispectral and panchromatic. The first kind is characterized by lower spatial resolution but higher spectral one, while the second is a graylevel image at higher resolution. In order to...
متن کاملReconstruction of cloud geometry from multi-view satellite images
Reflected solar radiances measured by the pushbroom cameras of the Multiangle Imaging SpectroRadiometer (MISR) on the Terra satellite at nine viewing angles are combined to give eight stereo pairs. These are analyzed with stereo-photogrammetric methods to measure the geometry of a convective cloud system. Both cloud-top heights and cloud sides are retrieved with a precision of about 200–300 m. ...
